Nachdem Freunde der OmegaDriver rund ein halbes Jahr auf ein neues Release warten mussten, wurde mit der Version 3.8.360 nun ein aktualisiertes Paket der alternativen Treiber für ATI Grafikkarten veröffentlicht. Die OmegaDriver verzichten traditionell auf ATIs CATALYST Control Center und nutzen statt dessen eine angepasste Version der ATI Tray Tools.
Hintergrund der langen Wartezeit scheinen zeitliche Probleme des Entwicklers zu sein, so dass die neue Version nicht auf dem aktuellen CATALYST Release 7.5 (wir berichteten), sondern auf der im April veröffentlichten Version 7.4 (wir berichteten) basiert und zudem noch keinen Vista-Support bietet.
Damn this is getting out of hand, raiding in WoW for 7 days a week, 6+ hours a day is turning out to be too much and tiresome, I barely have any time to work on my stuff. On top of that I've been waiting for more than a month for a new art and design that I was going release along with the drivers for my website and the person has nothing yet, definitively, there has not been any luck for me in the past months, sigh... :(
In some good news, I finally got a break to pack and upload the new drivers, they have been ready for more than 3 weeks, but with all the stuff been going on around I basically forgot to post them, sorry to all those that have been waiting.
I will not make a big release out of these since they are based on the Cat 7.4 and ATI already released the 7.5, which I already modded and they are in the test phase at the moment, so crossing my fingers they should be out next week.
Go to the ATI Radeon section and take a look at the Readme while downloading so you know the latest changes, additions to this set and some important notes.

P.S. If I had that much time to work on the XP drivers you can guess how much time I had been working on the Vista ones... :_(
