Mit dem Programm lassen sich Temperatursensoren (CPU, GPU, HDD usw.), S.M.A.R.T.-Werte, Lüfterdrehzahlen und Spannungen auslesen. Teilweise lassen sich auch Lüfterdrehzahlen und Taktraten manuell einstellen. Speedfan läuft unter Windows ab Windows 98.
