AMD hat die Mai Version seiner ATI Catalyst Treibersammlung veröffentlicht. Mit dem Mai Update hat man sich wohl in erster Linie auf die Behebung von Fehlern konzentriert. Im WHQL zertifizierten ATI Catalyst 10.5 sollte laut den offiziellen Release notes eigentlich das Problem mit den langen Ladezeiten in "Battlefield 2: Bad Company" endlich für alle unterstützten GPUs gelöst sein. Dies scheint aber nicht der Fall zu sein. Terry Makedon hat bereits einen entsprechenden Hotfix angekündigt. Eine vollständige Liste behobener und bekannter Fehler ist den Release notes zu entnehmen. Performancesteigerungen werden für die neue Version keine versprochen.

Zunächst wird die Verification Software heruntergeladen, die das System auf Kompatibilität zum Catalyst Mobility überprüft und anschließend die benötigten Komponenten nachlädt.
