Fahmon 2.1.5 Unofficial - SMP Support

Hallo,

nachdem mein Standard Fahmon den neuen Windows SMP Client nicht 100%ig unterstützte, begab ich mich auf die Suche nach einem workaround ... und wurde auch fündig. Und zwar gibt es eine inoffizielle Version, welche sowohl unter Linux als auch unter Windows SMP Support liefert.

Additions over the standard 2.1.5 build:

• Full monitoring support for the GPU & SMP clients
• SREM Gromacs (GROST) core support
• PPD display per client and total (PPDs displayed are obtained from the "AVG PPD" values in the benchmark database)
• Minor internal fixes
• Fixed long-standing bug that causes FahMon to not save any settings if you logoff or shutdown
• Fixed code to work with gcc > 4
• Added ability to use a local file as a project data source, and to specify the download parameters
• Added Tray Menu
• Added ability to open the client's folder from the client list right-click menu using a preferred file manager

Zur Installation muss man sich die offizielle Version runterladen, und die Startdatei dann mit der aus obigem Thread ersetzen.


Insbesondere für den Windows SMP Support muss man folgende Schritte ausführen:

• Download WinSMP.html from http://fahmon.fahinfo.org/WinSMP.html (Right click, save as. In IE change the filename to WinSMP.html as by default it will try and save as WinSMP.htm which will not work)
• Open up fahmon preferences and go to the advanced tab.
• Select the option to use a local file, and select the WinSMP.html file you just downloaded.
• Press OK
• Manually update the project list, by using "Download New Projects" from the FahMon menu. - This will then load the local WinSMP.html file and update the internal database with the Win SMP WUs.
• Go back to the fahmon preferences and deselect the local file option, this will ensure that any other projects are then updated correctly from psummary
