ATI hat sein CATALYST Grafikkarten- und Chipsatz-Treiberpaket in der Version 7.5 zum Download freigegeben. Voraussetzung für das CATALYST Control Center (CCC*) ist unter Windows XP ein installiertes Microsoft .NET Framework. DirectX 10 driver support for the Radeon™ HD 2900 XT (single card and CrossFire™ configurations) for Windows Vista

This release of Catalyst™ introduces the ATI DirectX 10 driver for the Radeon™ HD 2900 XT, for both single cards and CrossFire™ configurations. The ATI DirectX 10 driver used in combination with the Radeon™ HD 2900 XT (and an application designed to take advantage of the power of the DirectX 10 API) delivers incredible graphics effects never seen before on the PC.
Second Generation ATI Theater™ 650

This release of Catalyst™ introduces the second generation ATI Theater™ 650. This product will provide support for the new MCE 2006 requirements such as DRM support. Further, it will include features to support ATI All-In-Wonder products. It will also provide improved TV quality and Broadcast Flag support which enables full US terrestrial DTV support.
Performance Improvements

OpenGL performance is improved on the ATI Radeon™ X1950 XTX at high resolutions (1920x1200 or greater) with anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering enabled. Doom 3 and Quake 4 improves as much as 13-18%, and Prey improves at least 15.6%. The latest version of the Catalyst™ software suite is designed to support the following Microsoft Windows platforms:

Note: When installing the Catalyst™ Vista driver for Windows Vista, the user must logged on as an Administrator or have Administrator rights in order to successfully complete the installation of the Catalyst™ Vista driver.
Caution: Once the driver installation is completed under the Vista operating system (32 and 64 bit), the driver log file may report that the ATI T200 Unified AVStream Driver failed to install. A reboot of the operating system resolves the issue.

ATI's Folding@Home

Folding@Home is a distributed computing project designed by the Stanford University. The application performs intensive simulations of protein folding. This simulation will help researchers uncover how certain diseases develop. Folding@Home uses distributed computing to simulate protein folding, the workload is broken up into small work units and distributed across hundreds of thousands of computers over the internet. You can help find the cure to many different diseases! To join Folding@Home, follow these steps:

1. Download ATI's Catalyst™ software suite
2. Download the Folding@Home GPU client application
Note: If you do not have an ATI Radeon™ X1600 or higher, then download the CPU client.
If you have an ATI Radeon™ X1600 or higher, download the GPU client (either console or GUI version) not to be confused with the CPU "Graphical client".

Testen kann ich den aber leider frühestens morgen, da der Rechenknecht grad kein Netzteil hat und windows neu aufgespielt werden muss (falsche software installiert)... :(

Da gebe ich Dir Recht, du hast wirklich falsche Software installiert.
Aber machst Du dann nicht gerade den gleichen Fehler?

Damit war nicht der Treiber gemeint. ;)
Hatte nen Tool zur Überwachung von CnQ installiert, welches sich beim ACPI Treiber mit reingehackt hat und seither startet der Rechner nimmer. :(

War wohl nicht mit der x64 Version kompatibel...
 
Sage mir bitte jemand, daß es an mir oder meiner Kiste liegt, wenn Video im Overlay wieder und immer noch nicht richtig funktioniert (X.Org 7.2, 64 Bit, X1650 XT).

Ist in diesem Treiber der Steam-Client schon integriert?
Habe auf Fudzilla oder Inquirer gelesen, dass AMD mit ATI wieder einen Vertrag geschlossen hat und die Käufer von HD2900XT Karten drei oder vier Source basierte Spiele freischalten können und allen anderen ATI Besitzern HL2 Multiplayer und noch ein anderes zur Verfügung steht. Ist da was dran?

Auch eine interessante Frage. Der Treiber bietet jedenfalls 3 Optionen beim installieren an, die ich mangels Informationen, was das denn überhaupt sei abgewählt habe.

Steam bot mir nichts neues (Ausser Orchestra Riesenupdate *freu*) an. Es war auch nichts zu finden, was auf dieses Angebot hindeutete. Die Umsonstsoftware würd ich mir allerdings trotzdem gerne mal angucken und spielen. Das wäre das erste, was von HL2 auf meinen Rechner kommen würde. :)

sagt mal hat vielleicht einer den neuen ATI Treiber für Linux im Dual Head Modus laufen? In den letzten Versionen war das nicht stabil möglich und ich hab eigentlich keine Lust das jetzt wieder zu installieren, wenns nachher nur probleme gibt :(
 
Man hätte hier vielleicht noch erwähnen sollen, dass zeitgleich mit diesen Grafiktreibern auch ein gänzlich neuer RAID-Treiber für die SB600 erschienen ist. Er trägt die Versionsnummer 2.2.1540.29 und scheint zu jedem Windows XP und Vista kompatibel zu sein.

Davon gibt es ebenfalls monatlich eine neue Version. Sie erscheint immer zeitgleich mit dem Grafiktreiber.

Liegt wohl daran, das die S-ATA Ports in der SB600 von Promise sind ;)

Habs auf meinem DFI ICFX3200 mal vergleichen können, SB600 und der Promisechip verhalten sich exakt gleich, sind auch ansonsten ziemlich identisch, nur der Name unterscheidet sich etwas.

und das ist mit sicherheit nicht die schlechteste wahl :)
 
Im RAID/AHCI Mode nervt die Bezeichnung der Festplatten schon sehr.

Aber besser was etabliertes/funktionierendes 'borgen' als irgendeinen Schrott selbst hinpfuschen...
