Hynix Semiconductor lizensiert Z-RAM

Nachdem die Z-RAM-Technologie bereits Ende 2005 von AMD lizensiert wurde (wir <a href="http://www.planet3dnow.de/cgi-bin/newspub/viewnews.cgi?category=1&id=1137942646">berichteten</a>), plant nun Hynix den produktiven Einsatz und hat ebenfalls eine Lizenz bei Innovative Silicon Inc. (ISI) erworben.

Hynix will mit Z-RAM neue Speichermodule entwickeln, die statt der klassischen Kombination von Transistoren und Kondensatoren nur auf Transistoren setzen, was durch die SOI-Technologie möglich wird.

Entsprechende Module sollen innerhalb der nächsten drei Jahre marktreif sein.
