Pidgin 2.4.0

Der OpenSource Multiprotokoll-Messenger Pidgin - früher bekannt als Gaim - wurde in der Version 2.4.0 veröffentlicht.

<b>Hinweis:</b> Die mitgelieferte GTK Engine der Pidgin Version 2.4.0 ist offenbar fehlerhaft und beeinträchtigt einige Funktionen des Messengers wie den Empfang von Nachrichten über das ICQ-Protokoll und anderen. Leider ist die mitgelieferte GTK Engine Bugbehaftet. Nach einer Installation eben dieser können Nachrichten im ICQ Protokoll die von QIP und teilweise auch von original ICQ6 Clienten kommen nicht empfangen werden.
Der Fehler ist mitlerweile ofiziell bestätigt. Man kann ihn umgehen indem man ein älteres GTK installiert oder bei einem Update von einer vorhergehenden Version das GTK nicht mit aktualisiert.

Jo hatte das Prob auch, altes GTK rein und Kodierung bei ICQ auf ISO-8859-15 geändert und nun funzt wirklich alles. Auch das Buddy-Liste in Taskleiste nicht anzeigen funzt nun mit Extended Preferences, was mit dem neuen GTK nicht ging!

Nun ist Pidgin wirklich fast perfekt, ich hätte gern noch Andocken unten rechts in der Ecke (nich an der rechten Seite!), so Metakontakte wie bei Trillian (wenn jmd ICQ und MSN hat ist er ein Kontakt, der beim drübergehen zu den beiden Kontakten aufklappt) und ich will das man nich 4 x ^ drücken muss um ^^ zu schreiben. Also pro ^ muss man 2 mal drücken.... Wenn die 3 Sachen noch regelbar wären, wäre Pidgin wirklich perfekt! Weiß da jmd mehr?

Ach ja, wie kann ich die grünen Statuspunkte ind er Kontaktliste wegkriegen? Hab ja eh nur Online Kontakte gezeigt, von daher brauch ich die Punkte net, da eh alle dort on sind! Vllt lieber die Avatare statt der Punkte vorn und net hinten...

Gibt mittlerweile Version 2.4.1. Aber leider funzt mit dem neuen gtk+ das extended preferences nimmer richtig. Diesen Buddy Leiste Task iner Task Leiste auszublenden, ist damit nicht möglich...nur mit nem älteren gtk....hat da jmd ne Idee wie man das auch unter aktueller Version wegbekommt?
