Für alle Planet3DNow!-Leser, die die Sektion <a href="http://www.planet3dnow.de/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=130" target="b">User-News</a> nicht verfolgen hier noch einmal der Hinweis:
AVG hat Anfang Oktober Version 9.0 seiner Anti-Virus Free Edition veröffentlicht. Wie der Name schon sagt ist das Programm kostenlos verfügbar und ohne Einschränkungen nutzbar. Die neue Version ist nun vollständig WIndows 7 kompatibel und soll beim Scannen nur noch ein Zehntel der Zeit benötigen. Desweiteren soll der Installationsprozess deutlich vereinfacht und das Design modernisiert worden sein, mehr dazu im Changelog. Die aktuelle Version 9.0.698 ist seit dem 21. Oktober verfügbar.
AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 9.0 läuft unter Windows ab Windows 2000, jedoch nicht auf den Server-Versionen.

Die ebenfalls kostenlose "COMODO Firewall + AntiVirus" gibt ebenfalls jetzt Windows 7 Kompatibilität an, auch für 64 Bit.

Allerdings habe ich sie noch nicht getestet, nur unter Vista 64 und da läuft sie jetzt seit Langem prima.

AVG hat nach meiner Erfahrung die bessere Erkennung´und öfteres Updates nimmt aber in der neuen 9er Version bis zu 80MB RAM in beschlag
AntiVir hat nicht so oft Updates und gelegendlich auch Probs mit dem Updateserver jedoch nimmt nur 25MB RAM
In Zeiten von >4GB RAM mag das zwar kein wesentlicher Punkt mehr sein, bei älteren PC mit knapper RAM ausstattung nehme ich da jedoch Rücksicht drauf

AVG habe ich schon bis zu 5x am Tag durch manuelles Nachfragen neue Definitionen bekommen. Bei Antivir nur 1-2 am Tag.

Also ich bin vor drei Jahren von Antivir zu Grisoft (AVG) gewechselt, da bei denen der Updateserver nicht dauernd flach war ( wird wohl inzwischen besser sein, hoff ich) und fand hernach AVG im Ganzen deutlich angenehmer... Zu Unterschieden in der Erkennungsleistung kann ich wenig beitragen, da ich als Opera-user eigendlich keinen relevanten Schädlingsbefall erlitt... (wird 3-4 mal im Jahr mit frisch erstellter BootCD inkl. 2 Scannern getestet ...) .... also ich würd mal sagen JA einwenig besser

Hab es unter Windows 7 installiert und es hat mir mein System derart ausgebremst, dass es teilweise Minuten gedauert hat irgendwas zu öffnen. Und der Taskmanager ist auch andauernd abgestürzt und der Bootvorgang war auch 4x länger als vorher.
Nach der Deinstallation lief alles wieder perfekt.
Und nein ich habe keinen schlechten PC.
Bei 6 GB RAM und Core2 Duo sollte es schon laufen.

Öööhemmm, .... mal so ein Schuss ins Blaue ...... Du hast den anderen Virenscanner vorher deinstalliert ?!??
Das beschriebene Verhalten rührte, die dreimal wo ichs miterleben durfte/musste , von zwei Virenscannern - die sich gegenseitig beharktenMmoe
Hatte keinen Virenscanner vorher drauf. Neue Windows Installation. Hatte nur die üblichen Treiber installiert. (Sound,Grafik etc.) Und Windows hatte mir empfohlen einen Virenscanner zu installieren.
Hab dann denn AVG genommen. Schlechte idee.

also zumindest bis Vers. 8 sind mir, anders als bei Avira(& da auch sehr selten), nie Probleme untergekommen..... Na ja dann must Du halt zu einer Alternative greifen, solange Du einen weiten Bogen um Norton machst kann dennoch alles gut werden....

Echt ? wie ist denn da die Verbreitung ?? Ich kenne keinen der das ( bewusst ? ) in der Mache hat ....
Die meisten nehmen Avira , einen Gutteil habe ich Grisoft installiert , hauptsächlich beruflich genutzte haben sehr häufig G-Data und dann gibts natürlich noch die bedauernswerte Rotte armer Schweine bei denen Norton schon beim Kauf der Büchse drauf war
einige von denen haben dann sogar die Lizenz erneuert

Bei mir hat gestern ein vorinstalliertes McAfee Internet Security 60 Tage Testversion den Thunderbird als Trojaner erkannt, automatisch enfernt und somit die Installation zum abkacken gebracht ...

Ist immer noch so. Ist ne 60 Tage version die man nach 60 Tagen kaufen oder löschen muß.
Rate mal was die meisten Leute machen...
Wie der Zufall so spielt habe ich grad vor 2 Stunden auf einem alten Notebook die Norton Scheiße runtergeworfen die von T-Online beworben und zum Download angeboten wird das sie im Paket mit enthalten ist ...
So gut kann ein Symantec Programm gar nicht sein als das man es nicht gleich entfernen sollte.

Na wenn dass nicht mal eine Erfolgsmeldung ist XD
AVG free nutze ich, da mir (früher - weiß nicht, ob es noch so ist) die Werbung bei Avira free zu auffällig war, bereits seit Version 7. Ich habe es unter Win 2000, XP 32, Vista 32/64 und jetzt Win 7 64 problemlos laufen (Netzwerk mit 9 PC)
Gut gefällt mir auch die MS Office (2003, weitere Versionen wohl auch möglich)-Integration; Scannen ein-/ausgehender Mails in Outlook und von Dateien, die ich in Word, Excel und Co öffne, sowie der Linkscanner in Firefox. Die Ausstattung dürfte für Freeware sehr gut sein.
Ich kann AVG free uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Es gibt anscheinend schon wieder eine neue Version, diesmal Sprung von 704 auf 707.
