<div class="newsfloatleft"><img src="http://www.planet3dnow.de/photoplog/images/54308/1_AMD-Catalyst-Software.png" border="0" alt="AMD Catalyst Software"></div>AMD hat eine aktualisierte Version des AMD Catalyst Application Profiles (CAPs) veröffentlicht, in dem die CrossFire-Profile für zwei Computerspiele ein Update erhalten haben. Nachdem in Need for Speed Shift 2 durch <a href="http://www.needforspeed.com/downloads" target="b">einen Patch</a> ein Problem mit Multi-GPU-Systemen gelöst wurde, kann mit dem neuen CAP endlich CrossFire wieder aktiviert werden. Zudem soll das Flackern in LEGO: Pirates of Caribbean nicht mehr auftreten.
Seit dem <a href="http://www.planet3dnow.de/cgi-bin/newspub/viewnews.cgi?id=1266436878" target="b">ATI Catalyst 10.2</a> hat AMD die ATI CrossFireX Application Profiles aus dem eigentlichen Treiber herausgelöst, sodass Updates dieser Profile wesentlich schneller den Kunden zugänglich gemacht werden können. Die CAPs sind allerdings nicht nur für CrossFire-Systeme interessant, sondern auch für alle anderen Besitzer einer Radeon-Grafikkarte. Beispielsweise konnten die <a href="http://www.planet3dnow.de/cgi-bin/newspub/viewnews.cgi?id=1277377438">Ladezeiten für neue Karten in Battlefield: Bad Company 2</a> durch eine Aktualisierung des CAPs verkürzt werden. Zudem wird für bestimmte Anwendungen das Zuschalten von Anti-Aliasing über das Catalyst Control Center <a href="http://www.planet3dnow.de/cgi-bin/newspub/viewnews.cgi?id=1270753048">ermöglicht</a> oder <a href="http://www.planet3dnow.de/cgi-bin/newspub/viewnews.cgi?id=1291843181">deaktiviert</a>, wenn Probleme aufgetreten sind. Zukünftig will AMD auch Profile bereitstellen, durch die in bestimmten DirectX-11-Games der Tessellationfaktor automatisch vom Treiber reduziert wird, um so die Rechenlast zu reduzieren. Dies soll in erster Linie bei der Verwendung von kleineren Grafikbeschleunigern überhaupt erst die Aktivierung des Tessellation-Features ermöglichen.
Mit den monatlich veröffentlichten AMD-Catalyst-Treiberpaketen wird wie bisher das zum Zeitpunkt der Veröffentlichung aktuellste CAP ausgeliefert. In den <a href="http://www.planet3dnow.de/cgi-bin/newspub/viewnews.cgi?id=1292238229">künftig im wöchentlichen Rhythmus</a> erscheinenden Updates sind jeweils auch sämtliche vorangegangenen Änderungen enthalten. Um die installierten Anwendungsprofile auf dem aktuellsten Stand zu halten, müssen Besitzer von AMD-Radeon-Grafikkarten demnach lediglich das aktuellste CAP-Update installieren. Zuvor sollte ein eventuell vorhandenes, altes CAP deinstalliert werden!
Anfang Oktober hat AMD damit begonnen die vorgenommenen Änderungen an den Profilen zentral zu dokumentieren. den aktuellsten patch hast du aber drauf?
Die neuen Profile sind auch erst nach einem Systemneustart im Einsatz!

neustart etc bringt alles nix. bei mir mit 5040x1080 läuft es mit 1 karte flüssige als mit 2. desweiteren wird es mit crossfire unspielbar. fps sacken unter 10 ab.
mit einer karte sind es min-fps um die 25 mit vielen autos am start.
