Using the Edge Detect Custom Filter, users can enable 12X and 24X Anti-Aliasing. Selecting 4X Anti-Aliasing plus selecting the Edge Detect filter delivers the equivalent of 12X Anti-Aliasing. Selecting 8X Anti-Aliasing plus selecting the Edge Detect filter delivers the equivalent of 24X Anti-Aliasing.

This release of Catalyst™ introduces CrossFireX™ QUAD support for OpenGL applications. VIA hat eine neue Version des Hyperion Pro Chipsatz-Treiberpaketes veröffentlicht. Der Hyperion Pro bietet im Gegensatz zu VIAs Hyperion 4in1 Support für 64-Bit Windows Betriebssysteme und umfasst zusätzlich Treiber für VIA SATA/Raid-Controller.

Für AMD-Mainboards mit nForce Chipsätzen der 7er Serie ist nachwievor das am 9.April veröffentlichte Treiberpaket in der Version 18.11 aktuell.

6.1 speaker mode is not supported by Windows Vista.
No analog audio output in Windows XP due to "Digital Output Only" setting enabled by default. To restore analog audio output: Launch Play Control Panel, click the Advanced button, then uncheck Digital Output Only.
When using 5.1 Speaker configuration, no audio output from the Center/Rear channels. To restore audio output in Windows XP: Launch Play Control Panel, click the Speaker Volume button, then click the Restore Defaults button. To restore audio output in Windows Vista: Launch Windows Sound Control Panel, select the Playback tab, select Speakers, click the Configure button, complete the setup for 5.1 Surround, then restart your computer.
