Den Mobile Duron auf Basis des Morgan-Core (3DNow! Pro, Data-Prefetching, usw...) bietet AMD ab sofort auch in der 1000 MHz Variante an. Im Gegensatz zur Desktop-Variante beherrscht der Mobile Duron zusätzlich das Stromspar-Feature PowerNow! Compaq Computer Corporation is immediately offering its Compaq 700 series notebooks powered by the 1GHz mobile AMD Duron processor.

With support for the Microsoft® Windows® XP operating system, the mobile AMD Duron processor with AMD PowerNow! technology enables outstanding battery life and delivers exceptional performance on a wide range of industry-leading software, such as multimedia and office productivity applications.

Availability
Compaq will feature AMD mobile processors in its Compaq Presario 700 notebook series. The Presario 700 can be ordered immediately from the Compaq Web site at http://www.athome.compaq.com, with retail availability expected in early 2002.

Compaq Presario 700 notebooks based on the 1GHz mobile AMD Duron processor are immediately available for purchase on HSN through Dec. 22.

Cool, dann kan ich meiner mam endlich ein NB empfehlen.
 
Ein Duron 1 GHz NB ist bestimmt sehr gut geeignet. Es hat eine sehr gute Rechenleistung (wohl besser als ein mobile PIII 1 GHz) und dürfte vom Verbrauch her ziemlich gut liegen.
