Creative ALchemy 1.00.11 für Windows Vista

Creative Labs hat eine neue Version seiner ALchemy Software für X-Fi Soundkarten veröffentlicht. ALchemy ist Voraussetzung für die EAX-Nutzung unter Windows Vista.

Wie meinen die denn das?
Wenn ich also schon eine Version 1.00.04 oder neuer installiert habe, soll ich auf diese Version verzichten

Da haben die Programmierer wohl sehr viel Vertrauen in ihr Produkt.

Diese Ganze Creative Vista-Treiber Sache kotzt mich so an. Microsoft hat zwar ursächlich Schuld. Aber Creative könnte mit ihrem Alchemy auch mal in die Pötte kommen, von den Treibern möchte ich gar nicht reden. Mal sehn wann man da wieder Dolby bekommt.

Vielleicht kann man ja auch auf Vista verzichten....

Mal etwas Offtopic:
Wird die Audigy 2 ZS bzw. deren Derivate unter Vista immer noch nur als Stereokarte erkannt, ohne EAX, 5.1-Support o.ä.? Bzw. weigert sich Creative weiterhin, einen Treiber für diese 'Uraltkarten' bereitzustellen?
