VIA KT333 - jeden Tag was neues...

Vergangene Woche haben wir Euch zum Thema KT333 auf den letzten Stand gebracht (<a href="http://www.planet3dnow.de/cgi-bin/newspub/viewnews.cgi?category=1&id=1013687593">hier nachzulesen</a>). Das ist mittlerweile schon wieder Schnee von gestern, denn <a href="http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/story.html?id=1013852665" target="b">x-bit labs</A> hat neue Informationen:<ul><i><li>On February 20 VIA will announce KT333 chipset supporting the new PC2700 DDR SDRAM, featuring old 266MB/sec V-Link bus, no AGP 8x support and VT8233A South Bridge (in other words, it will be an ordinary pseudo-new chipset, as we called this kind of solutions last year). The KT333 North Bridge revision will be CD. The Inquirer claims that VIA has already shipped over 10,000 KT333 CD Rev. chips. It is exactly the revision all first mainboards, which have already started selling are built on. The mainboard manufacturers are free to provide their products with optional VT6202 chip supporting USB 2.0... </li><li>Later we will see KT333 CE revision, which will support AGP 8x and 533MB/sec V-Link. CE will be fully pin-to-pin compatible with CD revision. Until a new VT8235 South Bridge comes out, KT333 North Bridge will be provided with the old VT8233A South Bridge, which means that V-Link bandwidth will be only 266MB/sec. </li><li>Some time in April-May VT8235 South Bridge is expected to come out (it will support V-Link 533MB/sec and USB 2.0) and only then the KT333 core logic will become a completely new Socket A solution with PC2700 DDR SDRAM support (KT333 North Bridge), AGP 8x (KT333 rev. CE), 533MB/sec V-Link (between KT333 rev. CE and VT8235) and USB 2.0 (VT8235). </li></i></ul>Zuerst werden also die ca. 10.000 bereits produzierten KT333 Northbridges verkauft - ohne AGP8x Support. Danach kommt die Northbridge, die eigentlich für den KT333A gedacht war (mit AGP8x Support) und im April wird die neue VT8235 Southbridge nachgeschoben, welche die V-Link 533 MB/s Technik unterstützen wird und USB 2.0 ohne zusätzlichen Chip. Wer mit dem KT333 liebäugelt sollte daher eventuell zumindest bis zum Board 10.001 warten...

In Japan dagegen werden die ersten KT333 Boards bereits verkauft, wie auf <a href="http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/akiba/hotline/20020216/kt333mb.html" TARGET="b">nachzuschlagen</a> ist...

Was hab ich denn: AGP 8fach? 4fach? USB? Oder doch nicht...?

Wie das wohl dann nächstes Jahr wird...
Der "KT400" kommt im Wochenrhytmus raus ?

Da behalt ich doch lieber mein "altes" KT266A Board, das hat zwar "nur" DDR266 Support, aber dafür weiß ich was ich eingebaut habe.

na tolle, da warte ich nun schon seit ewischkeiten und verschiebe meine pc zusammenkauf von monat zu monat und nu schonwidda soen dreck! guter rat in der tat,...............blablabla warte lieber mit deinem kauf auf die anstehenden kt333blablabla und was hätte ich damit was ich an nem neueren kr266a nich hätte werd ma dann wohl doch en abit kr7a raid133 hohlen! oder gibets da doch vorteile die nu8 noch nicht erkenne?

Jo, paßt ja gut in meinen Zeitplan:
April/Mai ist dann wohl ein neues Board fällig...

also ich glaube mit VIA geht es bald Berg ab, es lebe SiS, NForce und ALI!
