Oftmals würde es vermutlich reichen, irgendeinen Dienst neuzustarten oder die Netzwerkverbindung zurückzusetzen. Mit dem Neustart geht Microsoft da einfach auf Nummer sicher.Wieso muss eigentlich bei Windows in 90% aller Fälle nach einem Update der Rechner neu gestartet werden?

Bei mir (XP SP3) bietet Windoofsupdate komischerweise einen zusätzliches Sicherheitsupdate mit Hinweis auf KB951748. System war vorher auf aktuellem Stand. Möglicherweise aktualisierte Version denn das Original kam ja schon im Juli 2008 ?

also das hab ich ja vorher auch noch nie erlebt ... gleich n grund das automatische update wieder auszuschalten, wenn man das net mal so nebenbei mit installieren kann ohne das danach der "workflow" flöten ist

Genau aus diesem Grund stelle ich die automatischen Updates entweder auf nur benachrichtigen oder auf automatisches runterladen mit Nachfrage zur Installation.
ja aber wieso muss mich windows all 5min erinnern ... kann das net wie bei linux sein das einem sagt das man n neustart braucht und auch einen verlangt, was man aber getrost mit "manuell neustarten" quittieren kann und gut ist
