Mit der neuen ATI Radeon HD 5670 bringt AMD nun die erste DirectX 11 Grafikkarte für den Mainstream-Bereich, die bei ausreichender Verfügbarkeit ab ungefähr 75 Euro erhältlich sein dürfte.

AMD hat die Spannung nicht gesenkt.
Wahrscheinlich um die Yieldrate & Wirtschaft zu erhöhen.
Immerhin haben diese Karten noch Potential.
Vorallem, die GT240 Karten werden AFAIK mit 1,05 Volt betrieben, wodurch AMD da einiges Potential noch nicht nutzt.

Die GT240 sind aber nur mit 550MHz getaktet, was reichlich wenig ist, da ginge sicher einiges mehr, aber eben nur mit mehr Spannung. Übrigens ziemlich unverständlich, warum 96 Shader mit 550MHz, eine Neuauflage der 9600GT mit 64 Shadern und dafür mehr Takt wäre wohl wirtschaftlicher gewesen und hätte die gleiche Leistung gebracht. AMD dagegen wird wie üblich den Taktspielraum ziemlich ausgenutzt haben. Und da letztendlich der Verbrauch der 4670 nicht übertroffen wurde, die sie ersetzten soll, paßt das so.
Es wäre natürlich zu hoffen, daß sich ein Kartenhersteller herab läßt, ein modifiziertes BIOS rauszubringen, daß die Karte deutlich sparsamer macht (dürfte dann aber wohl etwas niedriger getaktet sein), so daß sie für HTPCs noch besser geeignet ist (sinnvollerweise dann mit 1-Slot-Passivkühlung).

wird es nicht noch eine 5650 geben, die weniger Takt hat und dadurch vielleicht weniger Leistung aufnimmt?
