Die BOINC-Software wurde kürzlich in der Version 6.10.58 veröffentlicht. BOINC ist eine Clientsoftware für sehr viele Distributed Computing Projekte. Diese werden damit standardisiert unter einen Hut gebracht und können bequem über den BOINC-Manager gesteuert werden.
BOINC für Windows läuft unter Windows ab Windows 2000 - sowohl auf den 32Bit als auch den 64Bit Versionen, Mac OS X 10.4.0+ und Linux x86/x64.
Für Linux steht noch keine neue Version zur Verfügung, hier ist nach wie vor Version 6.10.56 aktuell.
