Das Projekt des russischen Entwicklers Artyom Izmajlov orientiert sich stark an <a href="http://www.planet3dnow.de/cgi-bin/newspub/viewnews.cgi?id=1279040869">Winamp</a>, kommt jedoch viel schlanker daher. AIMP kann zwar keine Videos abspielen, unterstützt jedoch die gängigsten Audio-Formate. Das Programm unterstützt viele Sprachen, u.a. Deutsch, und sollte diese bei der Installation erkennen. Mit der neuen Version wurden einige Fehler behoben.
AIMP läuft unter Windows ab Windows 2000.

Bin jetzt von Winamp (unglaublich wie man diesen Player zu derartiger Bloatware verkommen lassen konnte) über einen Ausflug zu foobar bei diesem hier gelandet und finde ihn bislang recht gelungen.
Hat jemand von den "eingesessenen" Benutzern Tipps für Erweiterungen oder Skins die man unbedingt einmal gesehen haben sollte?

der aimp player ist echt nice, bin sehr sehr zufrieden.
sogar besser als der lahme und mit vollgestopfen plugins winamp.
man kann radio aufnehmen, mehrere playliste in tabs und sogar drag+drop und und und...
hab ihn so eingerichtet das er bisschen nach winamp aussieht
