The thermal diode in the Athlon XP requires a corresponding temperature
monitoring chip on the motherboard. That chip monitors changes in the
thermal diode and converts that to a temperature which is then read by
MBProbe. Examples of such monitoring chips include the MAX1617 and
ADM1021/1023. Contact your motherboard manufacturer for information.

Auf welchem Mainboard sind solche Chips verbaut?

Vermutlich fast alle mit dem neuen KT266A und seit einigen Wochen ein FujitsuSiemens (Name Weiß ich nicht mehr) mit KT266. Alle älteren bieten nicht die Möglichkeit, die Die-Temperatur auszulesen.
