Conclusion and preview to final version
The new DDR333 standard will be a further step in the evolution to higher and higher
system performances. But nobody should expect miracles from those additional 33 mhz.
The relative values are settled in a range we expected. At the beginning only slow
2.5-3-3 pc2700 moduls will reach the market. Users, who have to drive their system with
timings by SPD, for instance in OEM market or business area, where "tweaking" is
not a topic, will do better buying fast pc2100 CL2 modules. Performance freaks
on the other hand, who will drive their system with 2-2-2 timings over the
specifications, which was even possible with our old Crucial pc2100 CL2.5 module,
will get very good performances. But the greatest step we will see, when AMD
releases its processors with FSB333 support.
Now we are at the end of our short preview. As soon as we'll have the final product,
we of course will present you the whole palette of our benchmarks and stabilitytests as
you are used to. So lets wait and see...
