New Features This section provides information on new features that are introduced in this release of Catalyst®. New features include:
- H.264 Hardware Acceleration
- ATI CrossFire™ Support for the ATI Radeon® X1800
- HQV Video Benchmark Support
H.264 Hardware Acceleration
Catalyst® 5.13 software suite introduces H.264 hardware acceleration for the ATI Radeon® X1800, X1600, and X1300 product line. H.264 is advanced video coding that provides significant reduction in bit-rate compared to standards such as MPEG-2 and MPEG-4. The ATI Radeon® X1800, X1600, and X1300 products provide hardware acceleration for the playback of high-definition content that is encoded using H.264. Using the Catalyst® software suite 5.13, along with the Cyberlink H.264 decoder available from http://www.ati.com/technology/h264.html provides H.264 hardware acceleration.
ATI CrossFire™ Support for the ATI Radeon® X1800
ATI CrossFire™ allows for multiple Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) to be placed within a single PC, to provide superior gaming performance. The Catalyst® 5.13 software suite is the first Catalyst® to provide ATI CrossFire™ support. CrossFire™ support is available when an ATI Radeon® X1800 CrossFire™ Edition product is installed with another Radeon® X1800 product. Further information on ATI CrossFire™ can be found at: http://www.ati.com/technology/crossfire/faq.html
HQV Video Benchmark Support
The Catalyst® software suite 5.13 introduces full support for the HQV DVD Benchmark. These driver tweaks provide a better DVD image quality, and higher benchmark scores.

Changelog: What's New in Omega Drivers? v2.6.87
[*] Based on the Catalyst 5.12 Official drivers.[+] Added support for 2560x1600 and 1600x1024 resolutions. Known Issues: 1) Some of the settings for both D3D & OGL will not be synchronized between ATT and the normal ATI CP, you must only use one of them to make changes, the best option is to use ATT since the ATI CP does not support changes to AI and in order to use the advanced D3D/OGL features. Changes made in ATT will work on games and such but the changes will not be reflected in the normal ATI CP since ATI stores the registry values that the CP reads separate from the actual values in the registry. 2) If ATT refuses to run because your card is "Not Supported", edit the "atitray.ini" located in the Omega Drivers&ATT installation folder and change "opt_disable_ovr=0" to "opt_disable_ovr=1", this will disable Overclocking, but the rest of ATT can be used normally. Important Info: Since these drivers include a non-standard version of ATT, I would recommend that if you have any previous version of ATT installed, please uninstall it before installing these drivers, not doing so may cause unknown problems. [+] Added support for a few more 3rd party ATI cards. [+] Individual tweaks for Standard and FireGL cards, that should solve the FireGL problems with OGL. Note: I did a lot of testing to make sure the new installer works as intended, but it still may have some bugs, so if you find ANY problems with the new installer/uninstaller, please mail me and let me know.

Folgende Neuerungen sind dabei: v2.6.75[*] Based on the Catalyst 5.10a Beta drivers. [+] Added support for x1800 cards. [+] Enabled Adaptive AA by default for x1800 cards, disabled for the rest. [+] Added 1280x800 resolution for both laptop and desktop cards. [*] Reconstructed some tweaks to prevent any future compatibility issues. [F] Fixed some minor resolution conflicts for laptops and integrated chipsets. [F] Fixed a "Deja-Vu" problem in the installer related to Multires. =D [+] Added the option to uninstall ATT, separate from the Omega uninstaller in the Start Menu. Known Issues: Some of the settings for both D3D & OGL will not be synchronized between ATT and the normal ATI CP, you must only use one of them to make changes, the best option is to use ATT since the ATI CP does not support changes to AI and in order to use the advanced D3D/OGL features. Changes made in ATT will work on games and such but the changes will not be reflected in the normal ATI CP since ATI stores the registry values that the CP reads separate from the actual values in the registry. Note: Since these drivers include a non-standard version of ATT, I would recommend that if you have any previous version of ATT installed, please uninstall it before installing these drivers, not doing so may cause unknown problems.

This feature is not supported by all ATI graphics cards. (it seems only R5xx series can handle this feature) [+] Added experimental support for Digital Flat Panels and Mobile LCD Panels. [F] Fixed error when ATT tries to read clocks and unable to start if clocks equal 0 even if overclocking was disabled. [F] Fixed error in Game Profile creating procedure when the game name contains ampersand chars [F] Fixed bug with wrong BIOS detection procedure [*] Redesigned Direct3D and OpenGL configuration dialog boxes [*] Updated TV/Display module.
