Wäh­rend Micro­soft die offi­zi­el­le Unter­stüt­zung für das älte­re Win­dows 7 Betriebs­sys­tem been­det, kön­nen Benut­zer ihre Maschi­ne den­noch mit dem kom­men­den SHA-2-Sicher­heits­up­date absi­chern. Es ist für älte­re Betriebs­sys­tem­be­nut­zer uner­läss­lich, das Sicher­heits­up­date zu instal­lie­ren, denn Com­pu­ter ohne den Sicher­heits­patch sind anfäl­lig. Für erwei­ter­te Daten­si­cher­heit wird das BIOSTAR H310MHG Mother­board mit einem TPM-Hea­der für TPM-Modu­le gelie­fert. Dies macht es ide­al für Regie­rungs­or­ga­ni­sa­tio­nen, die ein Höchst­maß an Daten­si­cher­heit erfor­dern.
