AMD Expands European Engineering Capabilities With New Design Center in Romania

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Oct. 1, 2021 — AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) today announ­ced the ope­ning of a new Design Cen­ter in Roma­nia. Loca­ted in Iasi, the new AMD design cen­ter will employ a diver­se team of engi­neers focu­sed on fur­the­ring both hard­ware and soft­ware inno­va­tions at the heart of the company’s lea­ding high-per­for­mance com­pu­ting solutions.

“We are thril­led to expand our pre­sence in Euro­pe with the ope­ning of a new design cen­ter in Iasi,” said Ste­ven Hes­ley, cor­po­ra­te vice pre­si­dent Sili­con Design Engi­nee­ring at AMD. “Our team in Roma­nia will focus on key design deve­lo­p­ments for future CPU core archi­tec­tures and AMD Infi­ni­ty Fabric™ tech­no­lo­gy that will help acce­le­ra­te next-gene­ra­ti­on com­pu­ting experiences.”
