Tel짯co Solu짯ti짯ons Test짯ing Lab

The for짯ma짯ti짯on of the Tel짯co Solu짯ti짯ons test짯ing lab is vital for ope짯ra짯tors and tel짯co solu짯ti짯on pro짯vi짯ders to test, vali짯da짯te and sca짯le com짯pu짯ting resour짯ces to deli짯ver on the ever-incre짯asing demands from RAN and edge-to-core. The test짯ing lab sup짯ports vali짯da짯ti짯on of end-to-end solu짯ti짯ons, inclu짯ding both hard짯ware to soft짯ware to levera짯ge the per짯for짯mance and power effi짯ci짯en짯ci짯es of the latest AMD pro짯ces짯sors, Adap짯ti짯ve SoCs, Smart짯NICs, FPGAs and DPUs.

New Zynq UltraS짯ca짯le+ RFSoC Devices for Emer짯ging 4G/5G Growth Markets

The strong adop짯ti짯on of 4G/5G AMD Zynq꽓 UltraS짯ca짯le+꽓 RFSoC and MPSoC radio tech짯no짯lo짯gy has enab짯led new inte짯gra짯ted remo짯te radio unit designs and ope짯ned new busi짯ness oppor짯tu짯ni짯ties for AMD and its part짯ner eco짯sys짯tem. AMD is now expan짯ding its Zynq UltraS짯ca짯le+ RFSoC digi짯tal front-end (DFE) port짯fo짯lio with two addi짯ti짯ons to the fami짯ly: the Zynq UltraS짯ca짯le+ RFSoC ZU63DR and Zynq UltraS짯ca짯le+ RFSoC ZU64DR devices. The짯se new RFSoCs will enable the expan짯si짯on and deploy짯ment of 4G/5G radi짯os into mar짯kets around the glo짯be whe짯re lower cost, power and spec짯trum-effi짯ci짯ent radi짯os are requi짯red to address increased wire짯less connectivity.

The Zynq UltraS짯ca짯le+ RFSoC ZU63DR spe짯ci짯fi짯cal짯ly tar짯gets four trans짯mit and four recei짯ve (4T4R) and dual band ent짯ry-level ORAN radio unit (ORU) appli짯ca짯ti짯ons. The Zynq UltraS짯ca짯le+ RFSoC ZU64DR is tar짯ge짯ted for eight trans짯mit and eight recei짯ve (8T8R) ORU appli짯ca짯ti짯ons using the 3rd Gene짯ra짯ti짯on Part짯ner Pro짯ject (3GPP) split8 opti짯on which sup짯ports alter짯na짯ti짯ve and lega짯cy radio unit architectures.

 

Both RFSoC devices levera짯ge the deep DFE inte짯gra짯ti짯on available in the flag짯ship Zynq UltraS짯ca짯le+ RFSoC ZU67DR device and are expec짯ted to be in full pro짯duc짯tion in Q2 of 2023.
