  • AMD launches the AMD Radeon™ RX 9070 GRE graphics card globally, extending AMD RDNA™ 4 gaming performance and value to more players worldwide.

At Computex 2026, AMD is reinforcing its commitment to high-performance gaming experiences through continued platform innovation, long-term upgradability and expanded access to enthusiast-class technologies.

Celebrating a decade of the AMD Socket AM4 platform, we are announcing the AMD Ryzen™ 7 5800X3D 10th Anniversary Edition processor, alongside the new AMD Ryzen™ 7 7700X3D processor for the Socket AM5 platform. We also confirmed extended support for Socket AM5 through 2029, giving gamers and PC builders a longer runway for future upgrades.

PC gamers now have more ways to build around AMD technologies, whether they are extending the life of an existing system, widening their gaming options on AM5 or pairing a new processor with Radeon graphics for high-performance 1440p gaming.

We’re committed to giving gamers high-performance technologies with the flexibility to upgrade their systems over time. Ultimately, our goal is to deliver unmatched ownership experiences for players around the world,” said David McAfee, corporate vice president and general manager, Client Channel and Graphics Business, AMD.

Celebrating 10 Years of Socket AM4 with the Ryzen 7 5800X3D 10th Anniversary Edition

For a decade, AMD Socket AM4 has served as the trusted foundation for PC gamers, making it one of the most enduring enthusiast desktop platforms in gaming history. Across multiple generations of AMD “Zen” architecture innovations, chiplet designs and AMD 3D V‑Cache™ technology, AM4 enabled gamers to upgrade over time without rebuilding their systems from scratch.

To celebrate the platform’s 10th anniversary, we created a special edition of the iconic Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor for Computex, the first Ryzen CPU to feature AMD 3D V‑Cache Technology. The anniversary edition is bundled with Carbice® Ice Pad™, a next-generation thermal interface material designed to simplify installation and deliver long-lasting thermal performance.

The Ryzen 7 5800X3D 10th Anniversary Edition will be available beginning June 25, with a suggested etail price of US $349 at launch.

Expanding AMD 3D V‑Cache Gaming Performance with Ryzen 7 7700X3D

Additionally, we are announcing the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X3D processor, bringing AMD 3D V‑Cache technology-based performance to more gamers on the AM5 platform.

Featuring eight cores, 104MB of total cache and boost speeds of up to 4.5GHz1, the new processor delivers responsive and high-performance experiences.

The Ryzen 7 7700X3D processor gives gamers a powerful entry point into the AM5 platform, bringing AMD 3D V‑Cache gaming performance to more players at accessible prices, with the flexibility to upgrade for years to come.

The Ryzen 7 7700X3D will be available July 16, with a suggested etail price of US $329 at launch.

Long-Term Platform Commitment to AMD Socket AM5

With the launch of the Ryzen 7 7700X3D processor, we are extending support for the Socket AM5 platform through 2029.

Since launching with AMD “Zen 4,” AM5 has delivered one of the industry’s longest-standing commitments to socket longevity and upgrade flexibility. For gamers, the support extension represents more time to build, upgrade and improve a system around the same platform. A longer platform roadmap can reduce the need for full system replacements and gives PC builders more confidence when choosing AMD Ryzen processors, AM5 motherboards and compatible memory.

Our dedication to Socket AM5 reflects the same long-term commitment we made to Socket AM4. For nearly a decade, AMD supported the Socket AM4 platform as users continued to upgrade their systems across multiple processor generations.

Radeon RX 9070 GRE Brings RDNA 4 Gaming to More Players

We are also introducing the AMD Radeon™ RX 9070 GRE graphics card globally, extending AMD RDNA™ 4 architecture, advanced ray tracing capabilities and AI-enhanced experiences more gamers.

Delivering an average of 21% faster 1440p gaming performance than the competition,2 Radeon RX 9070 GRE features 48 AMD RDNA 4 compute units, 12GB of memory and clock speed up to 2.79GHz.1 Gamers can take performance even further with the latest AMD FSR Gaming Technologies, now available in more than 300 titles.

The Radeon RX 9070 GRE GPU will be available globally from AMD board partners in reference and overclocked configurations starting June 2, with a suggested etail price of US $549 at launch.

AMD Advances Gaming Platform Innovation with AMD EXPO ULL

AMD EXPO™ Technology continues to help make memory overclocking easier and more accessible for gamers.3
