Am gest­ri­gen 18.10. hat­te Super­com­pu­ter­bau­er Cray zum Exas­ca­le Day gela­den (Exa = 1018) und dazu einen Web­cast ver­an­stal­tet. Cray wird zwi­schen 2021 und 2022 mit Auro­ra, Fron­tier und El Capi­tan drei Super­com­pu­ter mit einer Leis­tung von jeweils mehr als 1 Exa­flops bau­en. Alle sind Teil des Exas­ca­le-Pro­jek­tes das vom US-Ener­gie­mi­nis­te­ri­um (DOE) gefördert.
