Mehr oder weni­ger offi­zi­ell hat AMD am letz­ten Tag des drit­ten Quar­tals den A620-Chip­satz für die AM5-Platt­form vor­ge­stellt. Bei AMD selbst fehlt eine Pres­se­mit­tei­lung, aber in einer Mail wur­den wir infor­miert, dass die Main­boards ab 85 US-Dol­lar star­ten sol­len, was bei einem Euro-Preis mit Steu­ern wohl etwa 100 Euro bedeu­ten könn­te. Von allen Her­stel­lern hat nur Asus eine Pres­se­mit­tei­lung mit unver­bind­li­chen Preis­emp­feh­lun­gen ver­öf­fent­licht und dort star­tet man beim PRIME A620M-A-CSM mit 139 Euro. In der neu­en Ver­si­on 23.3.1 der Rade­on Soft­ware Adre­na­lin hat AMD die Ein­stel­lung “Fac­to­ry Reset”
— also “auf Werkseinstellungen/zustand zurück­zu­set­zen” — tem­po­rär deak­ti­viert, nach­dem es beim Vor­gän­ger, der Ver­si­on 23.2.2, zu Pro­ble­men bei eini­gen Anwen­dern nach der Instal­la­ti­on kam. Die­se äußer­ten sich dahin­ge­hend, dass unter Win­dows dass Instal­la­ti­ons­me­di­um mit der Mel­dung “Inac­ces­si­ble Boot Device” nicht mehr ansprech­bar war und der Feh­ler nur über ein ande­res Boot­me­di­um im abge­si­cher­ten Modus beho­ben wer­den konnte.

Im Jah­res­be­richt für 2022 gegen­über der ame­ri­ka­ni­schen Bör­sen­auf­sicht SEC hat AMD die Anzahl der Mit­ar­bei­ter zum 31.12.2022 ver­öf­fent­licht. Die­se stieg inner­halb eines Jah­res von 15.500 auf etwa 25.000 und damit um 61 Pro­zent an. Dies lag teil­wei­se an den im ver­gan­ge­nen Jahr abge­schlos­se­nen Über­nah­men, aber auch bei der Mit­ar­bei­ter­su­che war AMD sehr aktiv und hat auch aktu­ell auf der eige­nen Web­sei­te mehr Stel­len­an­zei­gen online als Intel und Nvi­dia zusam­men.
