AMD Reports Third Quarter 2023 Financial Results

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Oct. 31, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — AMD (NASDAQ:AMD) today announ­ced reve­nue for the third quar­ter of 2023 of $5.8 bil­li­on, gross mar­gin of 47%, ope­ra­ting inco­me of $224 mil­li­on, net inco­me of $299 mil­li­on and diluted ear­nings per share of $0.18. On a non-GAAP(*) basis, gross mar­gin was 51%, ope­ra­ting inco­me was $1.3 bil­li­on, net inco­me was $1.1 bil­li­on and diluted ear­nings per share was $0.70.

Heu­te nach Bör­sen­schluss hat AMD die Zah­len des drit­ten Quar­tals 2022 bekannt gege­ben. Es wur­de ein Umsatz von 5,6 Mil­li­ar­den US-Dol­lar erzielt und dabei einen Net­to­ge­winn von 66 Mil­lio­nen US-Dol­lar erwirt­schaf­tet. Der Gewinn pro Aktie lag bei 0,04 US-Dol­lar (Alle Zah­len nach GAAP). SANTA CLARA, Calif., Oct. 06, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — AMD (NASDAQ:AMD) today announ­ced sel­ec­ted preli­mi­na­ry finan­cial results for the third quar­ter of 2022.

Third quar­ter reve­nue is expec­ted to be appro­xi­m­ate­ly $5.6 bil­li­on, an increase of 29% year-over-year. AMD pre­vious­ly expec­ted reve­nue to increase appro­xi­m­ate­ly 55% year-over-year at the mid-point of gui­dance. Preli­mi­na­ry results reflect lower than expec­ted Cli­ent seg­ment reve­nue resul­ting from redu­ced pro­ces­sor ship­ments due to a wea­k­er than expec­ted PC mar­ket and signi­fi­cant inven­to­ry cor­rec­tion actions across the PC sup­p­ly chain.

Reve­nue for the Data Cen­ter, Gam­ing, and Embedded seg­ments each increased signi­fi­cant­ly year-over-year in-line with the company’s expectations.

Gross mar­gin is expec­ted to be appro­xi­m­ate­ly 42% and non-GAAP(*) gross mar­gin is expec­ted to be appro­xi­m­ate­ly 50%. AMD pre­vious­ly expec­ted non-GAAP gross mar­gin to be appro­xi­m­ate­ly 54%. The gross mar­gin short­fall to expec­ta­ti­ons was pri­ma­ri­ly due to lower reve­nue dri­ven by lower Cli­ent pro­ces­sor unit ship­ments and avera­ge sel­ling pri­ce (ASP). Etwas über­ra­schend hat AMD — wohl im Zuge der Xilinx-Über­nah­me — die Geschäfts­zah­len des drit­ten Quar­tals 2020 bereits vor Bör­sen­schluss bekannt­ge­ge­ben und konn­te einen Rekord­um­satz von 2,801 Mil­li­ar­den US-Dol­lar ver­mel­den, der sogar deut­lich über den höchs­ten Ana­lys­ten-Erwar­tun­gen von 2,6 Mil­li­ar­den US-Dol­lar lag.

Im drit­ten Quar­tal 2020 hat AMD einen Umsatz von 2,801 Mil­li­ar­den US-Dol­lar erzielt und dabei einen Net­to­ge­winn von 390 Mil­lio­nen US-Dol­lar erwirt­schaf­tet.
