Im Rahmen des europäischen Launch-Events zur zweiten Generation Epyc in Rom am vergangenen Mittwoch hat der französische IT-Dienstleister Atos mehrere Designwins für den BullSequana Supercomputer mit AMD-Prozessoren angekündigt. Norwegischer Supercomputer mit AMD Epyc und 172.032 “Rome”-Kernen
Nach Dänemark und Finnland bekommt auch Norwegen einen neuen Supercomputer mit Prozessoren von AMD. Dank 2.644 Epyc-Prozessoren der nächsten Generation (“Rome”) und damit insgesamt 172.032 Kernen soll eine Rechenleistung von fast 6 Petaflops erreicht werden, die das System zu Norwegens leistungsstärksten Supercomputer machen werden.
