Phison’s role includes delivering a class-leading PCie Gen5 SSD controller – PS5026-E26 – that features nearly a 2x performance increase over the previous generation flagship while adhering to the same power limitations of the M.2 form factor.

Raphael, Rembrandt und AMD 600 bleiben bei PCI-Express 4.0
Anders als Intel, die Ende des Jahres mit dem Hybrid-Prozessor Alder-Lake PCI-Express 5.0 einführen werden, bleibt AMD vorerst bei PCI-Express 4.0. Zur Erinnerung: AMD hatte PCIe 4.0 2019 mit dem X570-Chipsatz und der Prozessor-Generation Matisse eingeführt. IBM stellt Power10-Prozessor mit PCI-Express 5.0 und DDR5 vor
Zu Beginn der heute startenden HotChips 32 hat IBM den POWER10-Prozessor vorgestellt, der in 7nm bei Samsung gefertigt wird und neben PCI-Express 5.0 auch DDR5-Speicher unterstützt. Er besteht aus 18 Millliarden Transistoren, die sich auf eine Chipfläche von 602 mm² verteilen. Im Single Chip Module (SCM) kommen 15 und im Dual Chip Module (DCM) 30 Kerne pro Sockel zum Einsatz.
