TAITRA (Tai­wan Exter­nal Trade and Deve­lo­p­ment Coun­cil) announ­ced today that Dr. Lisa Su, Pre­si­dent and CEO of AMD, is invi­ted back to deli­ver a key­note address at COMPUTEX 2021. This digi­tal key­note will be on Tues­day, June 1, at 10:00 AM Tai­pei time, with the key­note the­me “AMD Acce­le­ra­ting – The High-Per­for­mance Com­pu­ting Eco­sys­tem”.

COMPUTEX dis­plays will be digi­tal this year, with key­notes and forums run­ning on hybrid. “It has been a year unli­ke others. Xilinx Reports Fiscal Fourth Quarter and Fiscal Year 2021 Results

Intel to Invest $3.5 Billion to Expand New Mexico Manufacturing Operations

Intel Cor­po­ra­ti­on will invest $3.5 bil­li­on to equip its New Mexi­co ope­ra­ti­ons for the manu­fac­tu­ring of advan­ced semi­con­duc­tor pack­a­ging tech­no­lo­gies, inclu­ding Fove­r­os, Intel’s breakth­rough 3D pack­a­ging tech­no­lo­gy. The mul­ti­year invest­ment is expec­ted to crea­te at least 700 high-tech jobs and 1,000 con­s­truc­tion jobs and sup­port an addi­tio­nal 3,500 jobs in the sta­te. Plan­ning acti­vi­ties begin imme­dia­te­ly, with con­s­truc­tion expec­ted to start in late 2021.

Seit dem Jahr 2000 haben wir auch ein Dis­tri­bu­ted-Com­pu­ting-Team, in dem frei­wil­li­ge Teil­neh­mer der Wis­sen­schaft Rechen­leis­tung zur Ver­fü­gung stel­len. Los ging es damals mit SETI@Home, über die Jah­re sind vie­le Pro­jek­te aus Mathe­ma­tik, Bio­lo­gie, Che­mie, Astro­no­mie, etc. im Rah­men des BOINC-Pro­jekt hin­zu­ge­kom­men.
