Zur Markt­ein­füh­rung von Win­dows 11 war für AMD sicher­lich nicht lang­wei­lig. Zuerst plag­ten Ryzen-Sys­te­me arge Per­for­mance-Pro­ble­me im Umfeld des L3-Caches unter Win­dows 11, dann gab es Pro­ble­me mit dem Sche­du­ler, der unter Win­dows 11 plötz­lich nicht mehr die schnells­ten Ker­ne der CPU kor­rekt iden­ti­fi­zie­ren und nut­zen konn­te – dazu hat­ten wir aus­führ­li­che News, sie­he am Ende der Mel­dung – und dann gab es auch noch die­ses merk­wür­di­ge Pro­blem bei akti­vier­tem fTPM. Noch Anfang 2021 war die Lie­fer­si­tua­ti­on bei den AMD-Ryzen-Pro­zes­so­ren ange­spannt; nicht ganz so schlimm wie bei den Gra­fik­kar­ten, den­noch lagen die Stra­ßen­prei­se auch hier meist über den unver­bind­li­chen Preis­emp­feh­lun­gen und bei der Lie­fer­bar­keit gab es “Block­ab­fer­ti­gung”. Zum Glück sind die­se Zei­ten vor­bei, die Ryzen-Pro­zes­so­ren sind gut lie­fer­bar und lie­gen mitt­ler­wei­le auch deut­lich unter der UVP. NVIDIA Announces Financial Results for Fourth Quarter and Fiscal 2022

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Feb. 16, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA) today repor­ted record reve­nue for the fourth quar­ter ended Janu­ary 30, 2022, of $7.64 bil­li­on, up 53 per­cent from a year ago and up 8 per­cent from the pre­vious quar­ter. Gam­ing, Data Cen­ter and Pro­fes­sio­nal Visua­liza­ti­on mar­ket plat­forms each achie­ved record reve­nue for the quar­ter and year.

GAAP ear­nings per diluted share for the quar­ter were a record $1.18, up 103 per­cent from a year ago and up 22 per­cent from the pre­vious quar­ter. Non-GAAP ear­nings per diluted share were $1.32, up 69 per­cent from a year ago and up 13 per­cent from the pre­vious quarter.

For fis­cal 2022, reve­nue was a record $26.91 bil­li­on, up 61 per­cent from $16.68 bil­li­on a year ago. GAAP ear­nings per diluted share were a record $3.85, up 123 per­cent from $1.73 a year ago. Non-GAAP ear­nings per diluted share were $4.44, up 78 per­cent from $2.50 a year ago.

Die Ath­lons, die noch auf Zen-1-Basis grün­den, sind schon seit Mona­ten kaum noch zu bekom­men und ent­spre­chend teu­er. Vor ein paar Wochen anläss­lich der CES 2022 hat­te AMD ein recht gro­ßes Fens­ter für die Vor­stel­lung oder Markt­ein­füh­rung – was ja nicht das­sel­be sein muss – der Zen-4-CPU Rapha­el genannt: das zwei­te Halb­jahr 2022 soll es wer­den. Die Gerüch­te­kü­che bei Zen 4 eher von einer spä­ten Markt­ein­füh­rung aus, da die Umstän­de aktu­ell nicht ide­al sind dafür.
